Hi! I'm Carrie, a 38yo, married, mother of 4. I have DS17-Phil, DD14-Courtney, DS6-Casey, and DS20months-Baby Chris. We used to live in Cincinnati, OH, until the economy hit us. We were both laid off, and when my DH Chris was offered a pretty descent position and relocation package we picked up and moved to Charleston, SC... SUMMERVILLE!! We have always loved the beach... especially Myrtle Beach! Now we would be 2 hour SOUTH of our favorite place on earth!!
When our insurance first started back up I made doctor appts for everyone in our new town. My doc did a full blood panel and tests since I was a new patient. That is where this story begins. I was quickly diagnosed hyperthyroid - Graves disease. The more I researched I realized that I had every single sympton associated with hyperthyroidism. I seriously thought after just having my 4th child at 36 years old, I was hitting the change of life early. While it is hard to be here alone in this beautiful city, without our family and loved ones, I know this had to happen in order to find what would later be know as cancer.
This process took alot out of me. I did tons of research on the Internet, so if you are like me, you may have found you way here. I hope that my story may offer even just the slightest bit of comfort to you!!
Please feel free to post question or comments! I'd love to hear your feedback!!!
